{"id":23,"date":"2021-06-06T01:12:39","date_gmt":"2021-06-06T01:12:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/staging.kaukauchronicles.org\/?p=23"},"modified":"2021-06-06T01:12:39","modified_gmt":"2021-06-06T01:12:39","slug":"2s6tg68te5cch82","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.kaukauchronicles.org\/?p=23","title":{"rendered":"Toasted Shrimp Pupu"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"sqs-html-content\" data-sqsp-text-block-content>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">1 loaf sliced bread<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">1 lb. fresh shrimp, chopped<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">2 tbsp. green onions, chopped<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">1 doz. water chestnuts, chopped<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">1 egg, unbeaten<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">1 tbsp. shoyu<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">1\/2 tsp. salt<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">1 tsp. sherry<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">1 tbsp. cornstarch<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Mix all ingredients together.  Cut bread slices in quarters.  Put mixture on quartered sections and deep fat fry, mixture side down.  When browned, turn over and brown other side.  Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
