{"id":4560,"date":"2020-07-04T03:50:18","date_gmt":"2020-07-04T03:50:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/staging.kaukauchronicles.org\/?p=4560"},"modified":"2020-07-04T03:50:18","modified_gmt":"2020-07-04T03:50:18","slug":"g26wiam54e2k2rwslpulsy30r92z55-fa2g7-3aylt-m7tsw-4xgxc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.kaukauchronicles.org\/?p=4560","title":{"rendered":"COFFEE CAKE #2"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"sqs-html-content\" data-sqsp-text-block-content>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Filling and Topping:<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">1\/2 cup brown sugar<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">2 tsp. cinnamon<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">2 tbsp. flour<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">3 tbsp. melted butter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Mix all ingredients together and set aside.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Batter:<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">1-1\/2 cups flour<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">3 tsp. baking powder&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">1\/4 tsp. salt&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">1\/2 cup milk<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">3\/4 cup granulated sugar<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">1\/2 shortening<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">1 egg<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Sift dry ingredients together and cut in shortening into dry mixture. Beat egg and add milk. Add a little liquid at a time to dry ingredients. Butter a 6 x 10 baking pan and spread half of the batter over the bottom of the pan. Top with half of the filling. Then spread the rest<br \/>of the batter over the filling and sprinkle the rest of the filling over the top of batter.
