Cover with lid so steam will form to soften beans. Cook beans until soft, about 1\/2 hour, then add linguesa and cook for another half hour. Add chopped cabbage, carrot, potatoes and bring to a boil; then turn down to simmer. Cook until vegetables are done. Then add watercress and tomato sauce. Salt to taste.
