Cut in shortening until mixture is consistency of cornmeal. Add rolled oats and press half into oiled 7 by 11 inch pan. Combine guava pulp, sugar, lemon juice, and nuts; spread over crumb mixture. Bake at 350 F. for 40 mins. Cool in the pan. Cut in 1-1\/4-inch squares.
