Mushroom Chicken




1/2 lb. ground beef 1/2 cup sliced onion 1/3 cup chopped green pepper 2 tbsp. salad oil 1 1-lb. can tomatoes 2 1-lb. cans pork and beans in tomato sauce 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper Saute beef, onion and green pepper in oil. Stir in remaining ingredients. Simmer gently about 25 minutes. Serves 4-5.
2 pounds lean pork1 cup shoyu1/2 tsp. red coloring1/2 cup sugar1 pc. ginger (about 1″ cube) crushed Combine shoyu, coloring and sugar in pot. Cook for n while and cool. Cut pork in four pieces and soak in sauce. Steam for five hours. Brown in oven or saucepan for 20 minutes.
