Avocado Bread




My mother loved making this Carrot Bread. You can see her handwritten “good” notation on the recipe page. It was decadent when I was a child, but people I’ve served it to have ask, “Where’s the cream cheese frosting?” Nice idea.
1 cup sifted enriched flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 tablespoon sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 egg, beaten 1 cup milk 1 cup cooked whole kernel corn 2 tbsp. melted shortening Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
