Sui Mono (Japanese Clear Soup)




2 pounds lean pork cut in strips2 tbsp. flour2 tbsp. sugar1/2 c shoyu1/2 tsp. ajinomoto1/8 tsp. Chinese five spicesFew drops red food coloring Soak pork strips an hour or longer and deep fry.
SERVINGS 4-6 1 bunch horenso (winter spinach) 1 can crabmeat Cook horenso till tender in boiling water. Drain and spread on “su” or bamboo mat.
