Guava Sauce Cake

1 cup Guava Sauce (no seeds)
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp. shortening
2 cups flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2/3 cups raisins
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Cream shortening and sugar well. Add the guava sauce. Sift the dry ingredients and stir into the guava mixture. Then add the raisins. Bake in loaf pan in moderate oven. If you wish you can chill cake.
